Normandy Park Riding School

Unfortunately i tried to resolve the issue directly with Sarah louise mercer but she chose to block me. She uses her riding school Normanby Park Riding School to do her dealing of horses from. Less than 7 weeks ago i purchased a horse from her for 8k (priced at that because he was so safe and one in a million according to Sarah) the advert stated suitable for a novice and good in all ways. On reflection its obvious the poor boy must of had something done to him to make him SO laid back and well behaved on the day, i actually had to wear her spurs and she rode him with her daughter on board too thats how laid back he was …. This “private seller” made up a tear jurking story of how sad she was to see him go and how she bought him to be her next eventer but already had two, one that needed an op and thats why she had to sell him not to mention she said she had him majority of a year, it was actually less than two months. Luckily she left information on facebook revealing the true story which in short, she bought him to sell from another dealer she uses regularly and actually was just one of many. After digging i later on found out about her reputation in her area. She had stated to “friends” she had bought him to sell. She already mentioned he ” would be too much for her riding school” yet claims he was used on it. She even lied about a vet visit and various other things. Since buying him i had issues from day one but put it down to settling in, i gave him a full MOT and he had no issues i even have a professional rider in weekly. This horse will be foot perfect one day and unpredictable and sharp the next (extreme, not a little buck, that stuff i dont mind its part of horses). Hes caused serious injuries and resulted in hospital visits. She made it clear several times (which again in reflection is odd) that if i had any issues or problems she would buy him back.. well no surprise shes now “skint” and unable to buy him back. People who have been stabled at her yard have confirmed this is something she regularly does and tends to just block people. Very charming lady in person. I tried to excuse behaviours and on his good days absolutely over the moon with him and would call him “perfect” however would also comment on his sharpness and ask her questions but conveniently she leaves that part out. He is the opposite of the advert and i havent seen the same horse i viewed or a glimpse of him since I’ve had him. I was called pathetic and blocked. For a horse she swears is perfect in all ways why would you have to lie about him and create a story? She also delivered him in such a state it was actually pretty upsetting and he was covered in cuts. Careless, heartless woman.
